Why BADgal BANG! Mascara Is Out Of This World

I’d like to think of myself as somewhat of a mascara aficionado. Why? I’ll tell you – when you’re Asian and have short, poker straight lashes, you’ll look for any solution to make your eyes pop a bit more. And I’ve tried it all – from lash extensions to fake lashes and even lash extension mascara, and yet I always come back to a standard mascara for everyday use. But there is nothing “standard” or basic about benefit’s new BADgal BANG! Mascara.

After fan-girling out over benefit’s Roller Lash mascara for a few years, I was excited to give this BADgal BANG! Mascara a go. The first thing you’ll notice when pulling out the wand is that it looks similar to a Christmas Tree with its pointed tip and wider base. They call it their Big Slipmact! Brush and it’s designed to reach into the corners of the eyes and under the eyes for easy application. I started at the root and wiggled to the tips of my lashes, as they suggested. I could tell immediately that I had instant volume as well as lengthening of my petite lashes. After a couple more coats, which is my standard mascara procedure on the top AND bottom lashes, I cleaned them up with a mascara comb, then curled the upper lashes one more time. No clumps appeared, no stickiness occurred, and I was impressed!

I also wear contacts, so I often wonder how my eyes will be affected when I introduce new mascaras into my life, but this mascara didn’t flake, plus it’s smudge-proof and water-resistant, so bring it on, emotions! The formula is super light and comprised of aero-particles, which are used in space technology as one of the lightest materials. Also, they add in a bit of ProVitamin B5 to help pump up the volume. And for $24, this mascara is a bargain considering it thickens, lengthens, and is a great scientific conversation starter if anyone compliments you on your lashes!
